For a while there, Threads was my secret weapon for growing my email list organically.
I grew my list to over 3,000 subscribers through Threads, and it happened faster than I expected because I wasn’t trying to game the algorithm or go viral. I was just being myself and inviting the right people into my world.

The Pinned Post That Did Most Of The Work
Most of my subscribers came through one single post – my pinned post at the top of my profile.
At first I didn’t think it mattered that much, but once I optimized it, it became the thing doing the heavy lifting while I slept.
Instead of pinning something random or trying to make it go viral, I created a post that clearly explained what I do, who it’s for, and gave a direct invitation to subscribe to my diaries.
It was simple, it sounded like me, and it ended with something like “I write soft letters like this every week. They’re free. Subscribe here if you want to read them.”
I didn’t change it every week or overthink it. I just let it live at the top of my profile and do its job, and people who vibed with my content would click through and subscribe.
I Got Extremely Clear On Who I Was Writing For
This was huge. I wasn’t trying to appeal to everyone or go viral with random content.
Everything I posted was written for one specific type of person – women who wanted to build calm, creative online businesses without the hustle culture energy.
Women who were interested in blogging, growing email lists, creating digital offers, building something soft and sustainable instead of grinding themselves into the ground chasing followers.
Once I got crystal clear on who I was actually speaking to, my content started resonating more deeply and those were the people who clicked my bio and subscribed.
My Link Went To One Simple Landing Page
In my Threads bio I linked directly to a clean landing page where people could subscribe to my diaries. Not a Linktree with seventeen different options, not a Stanstore with multiple freebies and offers – just one page with a short explanation of what the newsletter was, who it was for, and a subscribe form.
I built this sign up form in Kit (my email platform) in about 20 minutes. Kit’s landing page builder is simple but it converts really well, and I didn’t need any separate tools or complicated integrations to make it work.
When people came from Threads they’d usually already seen a few of my posts that matched the vibe of the newsletter, so landing on that page felt like a natural next step instead of being overwhelmed with choices.
I genuinely believe the more options you give people, the more confused they get and the less likely they are to actually do anything. Less is more here.

I Posted Every Day Even When I Wasn’t Feeling Inspired
I showed up daily with a few posts – sometimes one, sometimes five, nothing crazy. They weren’t complicated or overthought, most of the time I wrote them directly into the app without planning.
I rotated between a few main topics that my audience cared about – writing online, building email lists and digital offers, soft marketing and storytelling, making income without burnout, European summers and slow living.
Some posts did well, some flopped completely, but because I was posting consistently something was always working in the background bringing new people to my profile.
I wasn’t trying to be a content machine, I was just trying to show up as myself every day.
I Mentioned My Diaries Often Without Being Pushy
You can’t just drop a link in your bio and expect people to magically find it and subscribe. You have to actually talk about it, remind people it exists, invite them in.
I mentioned my diaries often but in a casual way that felt natural, like “If this resonates you’d probably enjoy my diaries – I send them twice a week, they’re soft story-based emails and they’re free.”
Sometimes I’d add it at the end of a post, sometimes I’d dedicate an entire post to talking about what I write about in the newsletter. I didn’t make it a big sales pitch, I just talked about it like something I genuinely loved that I thought they’d enjoy too.
How I Managed My Growing Email List

I didn’t have a massive audience, I wasn’t running paid ads, I was just posting intentionally and consistently and making it incredibly easy for people to subscribe.
The strategy was simple – clear messaging about who I was writing for, a pinned post that did the work for me, one clean landing page to subscribe (built in Kit), daily posts that felt like me, and regular casual mentions of the newsletter woven into my content.
